KISS = "Keep It Super Simple"
It's amazing how it's the simple things that hold the interest of toddlers. I've collected a number of cloth place mats, napkins, and pot holders from thrift stores.
. . . spread them all over the floor, and use them for lots of things.
I have watched the toddlers hop from one to the other, use them as make-shift blankets and pillows, "wrap" other toys in them, and just practice folding them.
Did you know folding is a Montessori Practical Life Skill?
